Imperplak Solutions was founded in 2014 by Moses Delacruz after fifteen years in the field as a foreman and estimator for larger regional restoration firms. Moses grew up in East LA, learned the trade from his uncle on residential re-roofs, and moved into commercial coatings and waterproofing in his early twenties.
The shop opened with one van, one crew, and one rule: every job leaves photo-documented, warrantied, and behind a written scope. Twelve years later that rule hasn't changed — we've just added more crews, more equipment, and a proper office off Gerhart Ave in East LA.
Today Imperplak crews coat several million square feet of commercial roof, deck, and floor per year for property managers, general contractors, and industrial owners across Southern California.
Every waterproofing, coating, and sealant scope is installed by W-2 Imperplak employees. No day labor. Foremen are OSHA-30 certified and manufacturer-trained on the specific systems they install.
The proposal you sign specifies substrate prep, named product, mil thickness, warranty target, and unit prices for anything unforeseen. If we hit something unexpected, you'll see a change order with a photo and a number — not a surprise on the invoice.
Every crew closes each shift with a photo log — substrate condition, mock-ups, wet-mil readings, warranty seams. That log becomes part of your closeout package and lives in our project archive.
We're an approved applicator for GE / Momentive silicones, GAF cool roof coatings, Sika, Tremco, Neogard, and Henry. That approval is what lets us issue the NDL warranties owners actually value.
Our estimators, foremen, and office staff work in English and Spanish. It's non-negotiable for us because it's non-negotiable on the jobsites where we spend our days.
$2M general liability, $5M excess, workers' comp with waiver of subrogation available, and additional-insured endorsements on request. Our COI turnaround is same-day for existing clients.

Moses has spent his entire career in the roofing and waterproofing trades, starting as an apprentice at 19 and working his way through every role from applicator to foreman to estimator before founding Imperplak Solutions in 2014. He personally reviews every proposal over $50,000 and is on-site for the first day of every major project. When he's not on a roof, he coaches his sons' baseball team in Boyle Heights.
No. We're a commercial-only contractor. Our insurance, paperwork, equipment, and crew sizes are all built around commercial and multifamily work — trying to do a single-family re-roof for you would waste your money and ours.
Most commercial proposals are back within five business days of the walk. For urgent leak response or emergency scopes we can turn a same-day scope and price.
Yes, on every qualifying system. We are approved applicators for GE / Momentive, GAF, Sika, Tremco, Neogard, and Henry. Warranty terms range from 10 to 20 years depending on system and mil thickness.
Yes. We hold an active CSLB license, carry $2M general liability with a $5M excess policy, and provide workers' compensation with waiver of subrogation on request. COIs are available same-day.
Yes. We are DIR-registered in California and file certified payroll through eCPR for every prevailing-wage project.
